About Mary

Mary is a soul inside a human body — born in Venezuela, based in Washington.

After navigating seasons of anxiety, depression, loss, and uncertainty, she’s finally breathing again by doing what brings her back to life: drawing and writing.

The writing part was just for herself at first — tapping away at her digital journal, capturing thoughts she never planned to share.
Until one day she almost gave up and asked, “Why even bother?”
The answer came so clearly, she still hears it when she opens her eyes in the morning:
“Because it’s not a bother — it’s a calling.”

So here she is.
Sharing raw reflections, emotional survival notes, and the little in-between moments that often go unnoticed.

She doesn’t list current credentials or polished labels in her bio — not because she’s hiding anything, but because none of them really capture what her soul came here to do. And maybe that’s the point.

When she’s not writing on the treadmill, drawing, or overthinking things, she enjoys watering plants, singing karaoke, butchering the guitar, reading, watching shows with her husband, and dreaming of her next trip.
